So the new live-action dragonball movie is coming out next week. Don't know about anyone else here, but I'm gonna go see it. Don't get me wrong, I'm aware this will be terrible, and I'll probably spend several hours afterward pooping blood because of it, but dragonball Z was the show that really got me into anime in the first place. I kinda have to go see it. It might not be so bad. Stephen Chow is involved, and it's being directed by James Wong (i.e. not James Hong. Honest mistake), and he made The One, which was pretty good, and Final Destination, and...Final Destination 3...and Black Christmas...fuck. Just so everyone knows where I'm coming from about my views on this movie, heres some screenshots: Chow Yun Fat as Master Roshi isn't too bad I suppose... Bulma looks hot, so there's that... Hmm, Chi Chi too...maybe this won't be so bad. Anyone else notice the similarity in the hair at all?? Did Jason Marsden really have nothing better to do than dress up like a Piccolo from a bad fan movie?! He didn't HAVE to be green, god d**n it... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I don't feel like paying money for this so I won't go and see it. And I read the anime news network's review of it which enforced my decision not to see it.

Finally got all the pictures I originally intended on this. Got kicked off the internet before, but it's finally done.

So I went to see it on Friday like I said I would, and was actually suprised. It wasn't the horrible, abominable, I'm-gonna-watch-this-and-poop-blood-for-several-hours nightmare I thought it would be. It still wasn't great by any means (it was awkward, cliched, and the special effects weren't awesome at all) but it was at least watcheable. It could've been a whole lot worse. At one point Yamcha shows up in the story and joins them, but he doesn't really do anything while he's there, like the writers were trying to say "We WATCHED the show!! We really did!!" Imagine if they'd done that with more characters, like Oolong or Puar, or something. And my worst nightmare was unfounded: Goku never turned into a super saiyan, thank god. So overall, it's still better than that cow-turd Eragon movie.

I should also take 1 second to mention Chow-Yun Fat in the movie. Holy dragonball, the overacting coming off of that man in that movie. It's difficult to watch Inspector Tequila do this to himself. I've heard of chewing the scenery before, but ye gods, he gobbled that crap down and regurgitated it like he was feeding baby birds with it. Yeesh.
